Woza is a Zulu word commonly used in South Africa as an invitation to ‘come with me’.
We invite all meat lovers in the UK and beyond to come with us and experience charcuterie and biltong made the proper South African way!
BILTONG, KING OF SOUTH AFRICAN CHARCUTERIE
Biltong is a cured, spiced beef (or venison) developed by early settlers in South Africa as a method of preserving meat.
Today, biltong is undoubtedly the king of charcuterie in SA and possibly the country’s favourite food overall… and for good reason! We want to show everyone outside of SA what all the fuss is about.
ALL BEEF, NO BULL
The key to great biltong is great quality meat. Our beef biltong is made using only prime cuts of sustainable West Country beef sourced from certified local suppliers.
We use s special cut off beef for the tastiest biltong with the best texture. We have also make biltong West Country wild venison, when in season and plan to expand our product range over time.
BEST INGREDIENTS FOR BEST FLAVOUR
Our biltong is air-dried, using a traditional method and made-to-order to ensure freshness.
We use natural, West Country ingredients as far as possible, including Cornish sea salt and locally produced apple cider vinegar, all carefully and lovingly blended with Woza’s unique mix of spices.
The result is a delicious biltong free from preservatives, MSG and nitrates.
IT’S ALWAYS BILTONG TIME
Biltong works as a snack in its own right or as part of a charcuterie plate. It pairs very well with a variety of beverages but particularly hoppy beers and red wines. We love our biltong in a salad with dried figs, goat’s cheese, chicory and a rooibos vinaigrette.
